Weaving Process

Before I start weaving I create my designs using an Excel spreadsheet or a weaving software package. Once the design is completed, I convert the design into an actual plan which can be implemented on the loom.

I also use my own hand dyed yarn from my sheep. Blankets, rugs, tapestries, and scarves include additional touches such as hemstitching, fringing, and washing.

Each piece of textile takes a minimum of 40 hours to produce. The number of hours used in producing a piece increases beyond 40 hours depending on the size, the type of materials used, complexity of the weaving structure, and weaving technique used in producing a piece.

I use cotton, tencel, wool, alpaca, and silk in my textiles.

I employ variety of weaving techniques in producing various products.
